The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Albany, NY, supporting the Store Manager in daily store operations and team leadership. This role oversees sales floor activities, helps set and achieve sales goals, and ensures an engaging, customer-focused experience in line with Kendra Scott’s brand values. Responsibilities include coaching and scheduling team members, maintaining merchandise presentation and store standards, and supporting inventory management and loss prevention efforts.
The Assistant Store Manager also assists with implementing local events, promotions, and community-focused initiatives, while monitoring performance metrics and providing feedback to drive continuous improvement. The role requires active participation on the sales floor, modeling exceptional service and fostering a positive and inclusive store culture.
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, to create welcoming, personalized experiences.
- Effective Communication abilities to collaborate with team members, engage customers, and relay information clearly.
- Experience with Store Management, including supervising staff, supporting scheduling, and overseeing daily operations.
- Understanding of Retail Loss Prevention practices to help safeguard inventory and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Previous retail or hospitality leadership experience, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or specialty retail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by store needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, inclusion, and community engagement; alignment with Kendra Scott’s values of Family, Fashion, and Philanthropy.
- Basic proficiency in point-of-sale systems and standard office software; comfort with learning new retail technologies.
