Merchandiser, Retail

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is seeking a Merchandiser I in Albany to support retail accounts across the wholesale wine and spirits channel. In this role, you will stock shelves, build displays, rotate product, place point of sale materials, and ensure planogram and brand standards are met. You will monitor inventory levels, report out-of-stocks, and assist sales representatives with in-store execution for promotions and new item launches.

The position requires frequent store visits, lifting and moving cases, and professional customer interaction while representing our leading portfolio of beverage alcohol brands.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise Southern Glazer's products in assigned retail accounts to company and supplier standards
• Stock shelves, coolers, and back rooms; rotate inventory using FIFO practices
• Build and maintain in-store displays and promotional features
• Install and maintain point-of-sale (POS) and signage materials
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate out-of-stocks or issues to sales representatives or supervisors
• Ensure planogram compliance and optimal product placement for visibility and sales
• Maintain clean, organized product areas and adhere to store policies and safety guidelines
• Travel between multiple retail locations in the Albany area on a scheduled route
• Lift, move, and transport product cases and display materials safely
• Represent Southern Glazer's professionally with store personnel and customers
