Business Development Representative - (In - Person)
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. This is a ground-floor sales opportunity offering significant career growth and strong earning potential.
About the RoleThis position focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities for IT services contracts. The ideal candidate is proactive, persistent, and skilled in building relationships through various prospecting channels. While you will have flexibility in shaping your market focus and lead generation strategy, success in setting appointments via phone outreach is essential.
Over time, this role may evolve into a hybrid inside/outside sales position with opportunities to meet prospects in person.
CompensationBase Salary: $62,000
On-Target Earnings (Year
1): $70,000–$80,000 (base + commission)
- Plan and manage daily activities to maximize productivity (approximately 40% cold calling, 60% networking and relationship-building)
- Identify, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting
- Build and nurture relationships using phone, email, and social media outreach
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of early-stage opportunities
- Meet or exceed sales activity targets and revenue goals
- Track and document key insights, decision-makers, and business intelligence
- Strong “hunter” mentality with a drive to generate new business
- Proven ability to cold call, prospect, and convert leads into sales opportunities
- Motivated to build and manage a book of business using multiple lead generation strategies
- Skilled in establishing relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Familiarity with IT services or professional services is a plus
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or inside sales
- Demonstrated success in securing meetings with key decision-makers
