Job Summary (Primary Function)
- The Oncology/Hematology Specialist acts as primary customer contact for demand creation by executing the marketing strategy and promoting products.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel as required; accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
- Engage customers via in-person, virtual, or as requested, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
- Execute marketing strategies; deliver branded sales messages and disease state education; run promotional programs.
- Represent the company professionally, compliantly, and ethically.
- Provide feedback on marketing tools/tactics; review effectiveness of sales activities.
- Use team members to address customer needs and ensure access to Incyte products.
- Provide exceptional customer service through total account management, including product access and triaging medical or reimbursement issues.
- Demonstrate and communicate in-depth knowledge of clinical benefits.
- Develop/maintain disease state knowledge and selling skills.
- Create/maintain a business plan reflecting local market and account knowledge.
- Consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.
- Local Oncology market knowledge.
- Customer-centric selling approach.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (or ability to obtain if required).
- Work effectively in matrix teams.
- Ability to gain consistent access and build relationships with healthcare providers (community and academic).
- Documented successful sales performance; strong business analytics and account management.
- Minimum relevant experience in Hematology/Oncology (hematology preferred).
- Several years of successful biotech/pharmaceutical sales (or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Ability to travel by various modes; level/frequency depends on territory.
- Demonstrated leadership; fosters inclusive environment.
- Product “access” knowledge.
- Strong communication and business planning acumen.
