Overview
Critter Control is seeking a motivated and dynamic Wildlife Specialist to join our Hudson Valley team. This territory spans from Albany to the New Jersey border and offers the opportunity to build and manage your own book of business across one of New York’s fastest-growing residential regions. Company vehicle provided.
This hybrid role combines business development, solution‑based selling, and hands‑on wildlife and pest management. The ideal candidate has a passion for solving customer problems, enjoys working outdoors, excels in customer communication, and is comfortable performing physical work such as climbing ladders, working on roofs, and entering attics and crawlspaces. This position is responsible for generating new business, responding to incoming leads, selling solutions, and completing removal and prevention services.

Responsibilities- Act as a consultative problem solver by inspecting properties, diagnosing wildlife and pest issues, and recommending effective solutions.
- Respond quickly to company‑provided leads while consistently building your own pipeline to exceed sales targets.
- Aggressively grow new business within your territory through self‑generated opportunities, networking, referrals, and local partnerships.
- Build and leverage relationships with homeowners, property managers, realtors, contractors, and sister brands to drive recurring and referral‑based business.
- Create, present, and close customized proposals for wildlife removal, exclusion, pest control, and preventative services.
- Perform trapping, removal, exclusion work, minor repairs, and preventative services in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and population management strategies.
- Safely operate on roofs, ladders, and in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawlspaces.
- Manage daily schedule, territory activity, documentation, photos, and customer records using company systems.
- Collect payments, follow up with customers, and ensure a high‑quality service experience from inspection through job completion.
- Communicate regularly with management regarding pipeline, job status, performance goals, and safety compliance.
- Travel throughout the Hudson Valley territory to residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct interior and exterior property inspections (roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and other confined spaces).
- Identify wildlife or pest activity, entry points, and damage, then develop a customized solution.
- Create, present, and close proposals using company templates and tools.
- Perform wildlife removal, trapping, exclusion, pest control services, and minor structural repairs.
- Build on existing leads by self‑generating new opportunities — if one property has a problem, the neighbor likely does too.
- Follow up consistently to close sales, collect payments, and maintain relationships with past customers and prospects.
- Anticipated first year annual earnings of $60,000 - $70,000+
- Compensation will be commission based - Uncapped commission potential
