The Security Manager directly assists with overall management of Security Services operations, supervising and coordinating the efforts of first line supervisors, officers, and investigators. The manager ensures compliance with AMC policies, practices, and regulatory agencies, runs incident response, conducts risk assessments, acts as liaison with local law enforcement, and serves as department administrator in the absence of the Director of Security Services.

• Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) required;
  Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• License & Certification: Valid NYS Driver’s License required. Completion of the NYS MPTC Campus Public Safety Officer (CPSO) Course preferred;
  Basic Course for Police Officers preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5-year experience as Security Officer or Police Officer preferred; minimum 2-year supervisory experience required; experience in hospital environment desired.
• Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good judgment, emotional control, objectivity, sound decision-making; ability to work independently; exceptional calmness and quick decision-making under pressure; excellent verbal & written skills for compiling reports and presenting security improvement plans; ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with all hospital and college constituents; leadership ensuring efficient security function.
