Position Overview
Licensed Security Officer – Albany – Full-Time Night Shift
We are looking for the right candidate to join our team with a commitment to security and safety.

- Perform all security and safety rounds as assigned.
- Ensure that offices and suites are secured.
- Respond to calls for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Report all suspicious activity to the Lead Security Officer or the designee on duty.
- Identify hazards and threats to the safety and security of the campus and its occupants and initiate appropriate corrective measures or alert supervisor regarding the deficiency.
- Complete written reports of all reported incidents as assigned.
- Prepare property reports for patient valuables and secure said valuables in the department safe.
- Use the department's digital camera to photograph areas where security incidents have been reported.
- Pick up hours as the need arises at our acute care facilities other than primary work location.
- NYS Security License
- Active police officer certification; active police officers required to obtain NYS Security Guard license within 6 months of hire.
- Current Training Certificate.
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Basic computer skills, good oral, interpersonal skills and written communications which will allow you to document investigative activities.
- One year minimum Security or Law enforcement experience
Hourly: $20.20 – $28.00. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the FLSA may be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary within the stated range based on location.
