Osmose Utilities Services Inc. is a 90‑year‑old company that provides a variety of services to the electric and telecommunications industries.
Summary of PositionOsmose Foremen Apprentice I are responsible for learning the inspection, maintenance, and restoration process of utility infrastructure and applying the knowledge in the field with a dedicated training foreman. This position is performed strictly on a training crew.
Responsibilities- Maintain all tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Achieve expected safety, quality, and production goals.
- Complete online learning courses as assigned.
- Must be at least 19 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Possess leadership qualities to effectively supervise and motivate a working field crew.
- Assume full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of a company vehicle, equipment, and tools.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Ability to positively represent the Osmose organization to customers and the communities in which they work.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather and have the desire to actively participate in physically demanding work, lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
- Paid on‑the‑job training: earn while you learn at a rate of $23 per hour.
- $25 daily per diem – TAX free (must be working 60+ miles from home, 40 hrs per week to qualify).

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear. Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Work EnvironmentThe employee may routinely handle or apply preservatives, coatings, or other chemical substances. Work is primarily outdoors in inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and freezing temperatures, and exposure to poisonous plants, insects, and allergens. The employee may also be exposed to energized electrical equipment and must take appropriate precautions. Noise level is usually moderate with short periods of loud noise exceeding 85 decibels.
Travel80%+ travel. Varies by customer or location and can include frequent Monday‑through‑Friday overnight travel in one or more states. Extended work weeks and additional hours are probable during peak work periods or for specific jobs. Must maintain a consistent attendance record and be available Monday‑through‑Friday and sometimes weekends as needed.
