Pest Control Technician

Job Description

JP McHale Pest Management LLC, an Anticimex Company, seeks Commercial Pest Control Technicians for its Albany branch. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between our company and our clients, delivering exceptional customer service, diagnosing and removing pest infestations, and recommending preventive measures.

Albany, NY
Pay: $21–$24 per hour (DOE)

• Serve as the primary contact for commercial clients, providing exceptional customer service.
• Diagnose existing pest problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent future infestations.
• Inspect structures, crawl spaces, and hard‑to‑reach areas for pests, pest entry points, and signs of infestation.
• Operate a company vehicle in a safe manner, maintaining it in accordance with DOT and company policies.
• Follow all JP McHale Pest Management Company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Adhere to OSHA/FIFRA policies and procedures when carrying out pest control services.
• Use personal protective equipment and equipment as required.
• Document services performed and complete the required paperwork.
• Act promptly to address actual or potential pest problems.
• Work in a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather and damp/dusty locations.
• Perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting or carrying up to 40lb.

• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid, clean New York State driver’s license.
• Ability to operate and maintain a motor vehicle.
• Capability to enter, exit, and work in confined spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
• Strong knowledge of pest control products, services, treatments, regulations, and safety procedures is highly desired.
• Physical stamina to perform the demands of the job, including lifting up to 40lb.
