Commercial Service Installation Technician

Albany, NY | $23 to $28 hourly

• Install and troubleshoot commercial mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.
• Read blueprints and schematics, perform basic wiring, plumbing, and mechanical assembly, and ensure all installations meet safety and code standards.
• Provide professional customer interaction, document work performed, and manage parts and job-related expenses.
• Travel to job sites, including overnight assignments.

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 0–1 year of related field experience.
• Ability to safely operate mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Basic knowledge of welding, hydraulics, and/or electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge.
• Understanding of electrical fundamentals.
• Familiarity with tools, equipment, and material handling.
• Strong customer service skills, including clear communication and follow-through.
• Ability to manage expense reports and travel budgets.

• Lift 50–75 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Climb ladders up to 8 feet; rooftop work required.
• Drive 8–10 hours per day.
• Perform frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Work in varying conditions (noise, heat, cold, wet, slippery surfaces).
• Travel overnight and work multi‑day job assignments as needed.
