Painting SupervisorThe Painter Supervisor is responsible for leading and working alongside a crew of painters in both residential and commercial painting projects. This role coordinates daily job-site activities, ensures quality workmanship, maintains safe and productive work environments, and oversees surface preparation, paint application, material usage, scheduling, and final inspections. The Painter Supervisor works closely with property managers and crew members to ensure each project is completed on time, on budget, and to Burns Management standards.
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Hourly Payrate is $25.00 to $35.00 an hour, depending upon experience

Primary responsibilities will include complete re-painting of units on turnover basis as residents move in and out. Including sheetrock walls, trim, and doors.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate painting crews on assigned projects.
- Plan daily work assignments, schedule labor, monitor project progress, and adjust crew priorities as needed.
- Review work orders, project specifications, color schedules, finishes, customer preferences, and site requirements before work begins.
- Inspect residential and commercial surfaces prior to painting to ensure proper preparation, including cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, priming, and protecting surrounding areas.
- Ensure homes, offices, retail spaces, rental properties, multi‑unit buildings, and other job sites are properly protected before work starts.
- Ensure paint, coatings, stains, primers, tools, sprayers, ladders, and equipment are used correctly and maintained properly.
- Train, coach, and mentor painters on proper techniques, safety practices, customer service standards, and company procedures.
- Perform quality control inspections throughout the project and at completion to ensure work meets company and customer expectations
- Track materials, supplies, equipment, labor hours, change orders, and project status as required.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times.
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and applicable residential and commercial job‑site requirements.
- Previous experience as a painter, lead painter, foreman, or painting supervisor required.
- Experience with residential and/or commercial painting projects strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of interior and exterior painting methods, surface preparation, coatings, stains, primers, finishes, and job‑site protection methods.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, project specifications, color schedules, customer notes, safety instructions, and commercial site requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise, motivate, train, and hold team members accountable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship in occupied homes, businesses, and active job sites.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with homeowners, tenants, property managers, business owners, contractors, and internal teams.
- Good problem‑solving, scheduling, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to order, track, and manage materials, supplies, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license preferred or required, depending on company needs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work from elevated surfaces as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, paint, ladders, drop cloths, and materials.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in homes, offices, retail spaces, rental properties, multi‑unit buildings, and commercial facilities.
- May work in occupied homes or active business environments and must maintain a professional, respectful, and clean work area.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and around normal job‑site noise, dust, odors, and equipment.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including eye protection, gloves, masks, or respirators when required.
- Must follow all safety procedures related to ladders, scaffolding, ventilation, equipment use, customer property protection, and hazardous materials.
