Outside Fiber Technician – Full‑time at Albany, NY.

• Cabling testing and documentation for all media types
• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber‑optic systems and networks
• Performing cable pulling, suspension, fiber terminating, and testing in accordance with NEC and local regulations
• Collaborating with team members to provide premier service to business and residential customers
• Assisting with other business‑related duties as assigned

• At least 1 year of installation experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred, college or technical/vocational training a plus
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to maintain insurability under company auto policy
• Proficiency with tools and equipment (drills, cable cutters, splicers, hammer drill)
• Strong teamwork and customer‑service skills
• Basic understanding of fiber‑optic cabling and splicing
• Basic computer and home‑networking skills; basic audio/video knowledge helpful
• High work‑ethic and neat, quality workmanship
• Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and wear PPE
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime
• Physical capability to stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods, lift 50 lbs, and carry 25 lbs consistently
• Ability to work aloft and in close spaces up to 30 ft, use ladders, hand‑climb utility poles with gaffs, and work in manholes
• Pass pre‑employment requirement screening

Hourly pay range: $22.00 – $27.00. Compensation may vary based on training, experience, education, and market conditions.
