Facilities Technician

Summary of Role

The Facilities Technician (FT) performs scheduled building maintenance, emergency repairs, and after‑hours response when directed.

• Scheduled maintenance: perform general building maintenance, basic carpentry, wall finishing and painting, door hinge and lock repairs, service teller line drawers and cabinets, make minor banking equipment repairs when trained, complete work orders daily, assist vendors with department systems (UPS, switch gear, generators, electrical panels, HVAC, FM200, fire suppression systems), perform minor repairs to asphalt, building façade, concrete, electrical, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and roof across administrative and branch locations in New York State.
• Emergency response: when on‑call, respond to building emergencies, provide leadership with a brief analysis for decision‑making, make minor temporary repairs, provide after‑hours access when directed, and act as Director representative when required.
• Other duties: support department requirements such as after‑hours campus events, assume Facilities Operations Coordinator responsibilities when directed, support company operations, ensure supervisors informed of task statuses, and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

• High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED).
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license with no violations.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, sketches, and layouts.
• Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used for job duties.
• Bilingual individuals fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.

• Employee will adhere to OSHA workplace safety standards.
• May be directed to work additional hours when needed to complete major projects.
• Required to travel between administrative buildings, branches, and vendor locations daily.
• May be required to fill in for team members during holidays or staffing challenges.
• Regular requirements: stand, walk, sit, use hands for tools, operate machinery and power tools, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Occasional lifting or moving up to 75pounds.
• Work may be noisy and involve proximity with others.
• Exposure to temperatures above or below normal during shipping, receiving, or warehousing operations.

$20.68 – $24.82/hr, plus a competitive benefits package.
