Whatdo our Termite Technicians do?
Termite Technicians use their expertise to protect customers' properties from wood‑destroying organisms. As the first line of defense, they perform inspections, prevention, and treatment services that create peace of mind for customers.
Responsibilities- Identify customer’s termite problems and determine remedial steps based on termite behaviors and habits.
- Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
- Communicate to the customer critical conditions conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications that may supplement the treatment process.
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services provided.
- Endure a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations.
- Prepare the job site for treatment.
- Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
- Work comfortably 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces.
- Have general laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, and attic experience (plus).
- Work on roofs and other high areas.
- Perform repetitive motions such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator, and work regularly in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Clean‑shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal).
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of customer service; experience in termite control is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility with working hours, Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, or local regulations (covered by us).
- Basic math skills to follow instructions for product mixing.
Hourly: $20.00 – $23.00. Pay may vary based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment where applicable.
