Carpenter Trades Specialist

Capital District Psychiatric Center (CDPC) has immediate job opportunities for a Carpenter to join their team as a Trades Specialist.

As a Trades Specialist (Carpenter) at CDPC, you will perform a variety of carpentry and maintenance duties involving the construction, installation, and repair of fixtures and structures on the CDPC campus and outpatient residences. Tasks may include:

• Constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, roofs, trim, and other structural components.
• Performing carpentry work using standard trade practices and techniques.
• Working with a variety of building materials including, but not limited to, wood, sheet metal, plastic, and aluminum.
• Installing, repairing, and replacing ceiling and floor tiles.
• Maintaining, servicing, and safely operating carpentry shop machinery and equipment.
• Overseeing the distribution, maintenance, and storage of carpentry tools and maintaining inventory.
• Providing instruction and supervising assigned staff to complete carpentry-related projects when required.
