Job Description
As a Field Service Technician II at Honeywell, you will provide essential technical support and service for HVAC, fire alarm, and access control systems, applying your basic troubleshooting skills and low‑voltage experience to maintain and repair critical building systems and ensure safety and operational efficiency for our customers.
You will report directly to our Service Manager and work out of our local Honeywell customer facility in Albany, NY, impacting the safety, comfort, and security of our customers’ environments by delivering reliable service and maintenance for vital building control systems.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, fire alarm, and access control systems.
- Utilize basic control and low‑voltage skills to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements during all service activities.
- At least 1 year of field service experience focusing on HVAC, fire alarm, or access control systems, or a technical diploma or degree in a related field.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of low‑voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with basic control systems and their operation.
- Ability to work independently and follow technical instructions accurately.
- Experience with building automation or control systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good teamwork and customer service orientation.

Annual base salary range: $43,000 – $53,700.
