Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician

• Deliver the Company’s facilities maintenance services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory
• Travel to varied customer sites using a company vehicle and tools
• Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and general service of buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Complete preventative maintenance and repairs according to work orders
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance and repairs on toilets, urinals, valves, faucets, and automatic flush sensors
• Perform routine painting, carpentry, and general maintenance to maintain facilities in like-new condition
• Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, and perform painting and touch-up work
• Perform minor electrical maintenance, including fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts, and sockets, as permitted by law
• Complete service and asset inspections
• Use tablets, smartphones, and business systems to access and complete work orders
• Create and submit service reports and quality inspection images and reports
• Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs
• Obtain materials and supplies needed for assigned tasks
• Build positive client relationships and maintain customer satisfaction
• Communicate consistently with customers and internal support teams
• Complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings
• Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed by onsite customers
• Complete other assigned duties

• HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred
• Two to five years of general maintenance experience, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Related work experience in one or more of the building trades
• Commercial services background highly preferred
• Must possess applicable certifications and licenses
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to read and comprehend safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
• Ability to use handheld devices and business systems or document management database software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and Company Safety policies
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Daily local travel between properties
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to drive a company vehicle daily
• Ability to use required safety equipment and follow lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines
• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the face of the customer

Demonstrates expertise in facilities maintenance, including preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems. Proficient in using business systems and handheld devices for work order management and reporting.
