Associate Installation Technician

• Perform on-site physical installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and ancillary equipment
• Confirm site readiness and pre-installation infrastructure requirements
• Perform detailed product inventory of installable equipment
• Install associated cabling and deliver appropriate video signals
• Program, test, inspect, and document video integration sources and equipment
• Maintain accurate installation records and complete daily update reports
• Provide project updates to stakeholders and coordinate with Quality on compliance
• Coordinate and book travel and manage daily schedules
• Provide basic operational training to customers as needed
• Manage assigned tools and equipment inventory
• Respond to customer service inquiries and communicate project status
• Collaborate with sales, project engineering, project management, field service, electricians, plumbers, general contractors, and hospital staff
• Follow customer and Stryker safety policies, use required PPE, and advocate safe work practices
• Complete training and maintain product, quality, and process standards through Stryker’s Learning Management System

• 0–2 years related technical experience (telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical device, hospital biomed)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) preferred but not required
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Intermediate PC and application skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
• Ability to interpret complex wire diagrams and CAD drawings
• Ability to understand infrastructure, electrical, and network requirements
• Ability to learn basic IP and computer networking requirements
• Must be able to travel via commercial airline
• Must maintain a state-issued Driver’s License and safely operate a motor vehicle
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to use ladders, chain hoists, material lifts, and pallet jacks
• Must be able to climb ladders, work within confined spaces, and above ceilings
