Evening (United States of America) Salary Range: $54,690.00 - $82,035.00

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent certificate with at least 2 years manual training in carpentry and (3) years experience working with journeyman carpenter, or Grammar School graduate and has completed (4) years apprenticeship in Carpentry.

• Operates all types of stationary and portable power tools and equipment.
• Able to operate windows, frames, sashes, fasteners, measure and install broken glass, and install blinds and screens.
• Performs all types of carpentry projects from sketches, plans and specifications, including concrete forms, rough framing, interior and exterior finish carpentry.
• Install interior and exterior signage.
• Repairs furniture, builds and installs cabinetry and shelving.
• Installs all types of finish millwork and builders' hardware.
• Installs wall bumpers and hand rails, inspects and repairs.
• Installs all kinds of ceiling finishes, including layout and erection of suspended grid systems, cemented tile and gypsum board.
• Constructs/installs bulletin boards, picture frames, etc.
• Installs all types of wall paneling, carpet, floor tile and base.
• Performs all assigned tasks in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Assists with training and supervision of carpenter helpers and laborers.
• Installs furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Helps with the maintenance of shop tools and equipment, including keeping shop in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assists in roof repairs.
• Is alert and ready to carry out all instruction in cases of emergencies.
• Performs PM on fire doors and fire door hardware and locks.
• Keeps up to date with codes.
• Troubleshoots any dangerous and unsafe conditions.
• Corrects any safety hazards.
• Performs other maintenance duties when requested.
• Follows AMC policies and procedures, and adheres to center safety policies and regulations.
• Assists & Cooperates:
  With other foremen and supervisors to schedule and complete projects according to plan.
• Assists:
  The Director of Facility Maintenance in all emergencies.
• Responsible to conduct good housekeeping measures to promote safety.
• Responsible to attend asbestos training annually and be part of the asbestos team.
• When needed, management reserves the right to assign or reassign all employees.

• Performs all types of carpentry projects from sketches, plans and specifications, including concrete forms, rough framing, interior and exterior finish carpentry.
• Install interior and exterior signage.
• Installs all types of finish millwork and builders' hardware.
• Installs wall bumpers, wall protection, and handrails.
• Installs and replaces acoustical ceiling tile and grid, including layout of new ceilings.
• Performs department relocations including fitting out spaces after construction.
• Installs all types of wall paneling, carpet, floor tile and baseboard moldings.
• Performs all assigned tasks in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Assembles and installs casework and countertops.
• Helps with the maintenance of shop tools and equipment, including keeping shop in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assists in minor roof repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance on fire doors and fire door hardware, fire and smoke assemblies.
• Keeps up to date with codes.
• Troubleshoots any dangerous and unsafe conditions.
• Corrects any safety hazards.
• Performs other maintenance duties when required.
• Assists other foremen and supervisors to schedule and complete projects according to plan.
• Responsible to conduct good housekeeping measures to promote safety.
• Responsible to attend asbestos and lead abatement training.
• When needed, management reserves the right to assign or reassign all employees.

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.

• Completion of (4) year apprenticeship program in carpentry - required
• 4-6 years working with a general contractor or in a facility as a carpenter - required
