Position Overview & Organizational Relationships: Under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, the Program Supervisor takes a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations and therapeutic functioning of the residential program. This role actively manages the physical, emotional, and treatment needs of the children in care and serves as a vital member of the Residential Treatment Team.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required;
    Associate degree or higher in Human Services or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience: Professional experience working with children who exhibit emotional, behavioral, or interpersonal challenges.
  • De-escalation & Crisis Care: Experience with non-physical de-escalation techniques, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), and trauma-responsive care. Must demonstrate the ability to perform effectively and interventionally under crisis conditions.
  • Driver’s License & Age Requirement: Valid New York State Driver’s License with a clean driving record (actively licensed for at least 1 year required). Must be at least 21 years of age to meet agency auto insurance carrier requirements.
  • Vehicle Operations: Ability to legally operate an 8–15 passenger automatic transmission vehicle. Agency Van Certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Medication Administration: Certification to administer medication required (must successfully complete the St. Catherine’s Medication Certification Course upon hire).

    Proven ability to lead shift operations and work within a shared decision-making model alongside multidisciplinary teams, client families, and external service providers.
