Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Power Apps Developer to support enterprise application development and modernization initiatives for a government client in Albany, NY. This role requires a unique blend of Microsoft Power Platform expertise and legacy mainframe experience. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on skills with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, along with experience supporting SharePoint, DB2, VSAM, and IBM mainframe environments.

The developer will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, support production systems, and contribute to the design, development, testing, and reporting of mission‑critical applications.

Compensation: $66.00 per hour

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 7 years of experience collaborating on mainframe-based projects, preparing written reports, and supervising development teams
  • 4 years of experience supporting production SharePoint sites and applications
  • 5 years of experience supporting DB2 and VSAM databases
  • 5 years of experience coding queries using Easytrieve and testing tools such as Intertest
  • 7 years of experience developing scripts and performing testing in an IBM 3090 mainframe (MF) environment
  • 4 years of hands‑on experience with Power Automate and Power BI
  • 4 years of hands‑on experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps to support business and operational needs
  • Build and enhance workflows and automation using Power Automate to streamline processes
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Support and maintain SharePoint production sites and integrated applications
  • Collaborate with legacy system teams to integrate Power Platform solutions with DB2, VSAM, and mainframe systems
  • Develop and test scripts in the IBM mainframe environment, ensuring system reliability and data accuracy
  • Write and execute queries using Easytrieve and perform system testing using tools such as Intertest
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and status updates for project stakeholders
  • Supervise and coordinate development activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
  • Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and production support activities
