DURATION: 30 Months
LOCATION :
Albany, NY – Hybrid
Candidate will assist with maintenance, modernization and conversion of legacy DTF applications which are part of Taxpayer Accounting (e-MPIRE TA) and Assessment Receivables/Collections (CARTS) systems. These existing applications run on the IBM mainframe platform, based on COBOL/JCL/DB2 and IDMS technologies.
Qualifications- Software Developer
- Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software. - Expert- 84+ months:
Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. - 84 months of COBOL programming experience.
- 84 months of JCL experience.
- 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with databases.
- 60 months of IDMS Database experience.
- 60 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
- 60 months of system analysis and design experience for multi-tiered transactional systems.
- Maintenance of existing systems as well as new development work related to legislative initiatives.
- Participate in requirements gathering phase.
- Analysis, design, coding and unit/integration testing.
- Create and update program specification and detail design documentation.
- Research and fix production issues.
- Application performance tuning.
- Mentor staff on programming standards.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues.
