Senior Web Developer – Task Order HBITS-07-14332, Agency:

As part of the New York HBITS initiative, the Senior Web Developer will enhance and support Drupal-based enterprise sites. Responsibilities include delivering responsive, accessible, NYS‑standards‑compliant experiences, building custom modules/themes, and integrating search and platform tools (Acquia, SOLR/Search Stax). Required expertise: PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5/CSS3/SASS, Git, and cross‑browser testing.

• Ensure all Drupal websites are usable, accessible, responsive, and compliant with NYS standards and best practices.
• Use the enterprise Drupal platform to deliver secure, scalable features using current technologies and industry best practices.
• Develop custom modules, themes, and both front‑end/back‑end functionality.
• Build with PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML/CSS/Twig; manage code with Git.
• Configure and optimize Acquia, Search Stax, and SOLR for robust site search.
• Perform cross‑platform compatibility testing and resolve UI/UX issues.

• 5 years and 4 months of experience in custom Drupal module development.
• 4 years of experience with Acquia, Search Stax, and SOLR.
• 4 years of experience using standard Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, Panels and extending them through code.
• 5 years and 4 months of experience with HTML5, CSS3, SASS.
• 5 years and 4 months of programming experience with PHP.
• 5 years and 4 months of experience with web graphical, browser, and cross‑platform compatibility testing and responsive design.
• 4 years of experience in using GIT.
• 5 years and 4 months of programming experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
