Java Developer; J2EE​/Hibernate​/EJB​/Mainframe

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Java Developer in Albany, NY.

• Participate in Joint Application Development sessions to assist in formulating Use Case analysis deliverables.
• Interpret Use Case requirements, seek clarification from Business Analysts as needed, and estimate, propose, prototype and develop a solution that integrates within the existing technology stack and framework.
• Provide J2EE, JBoss Enterprise Application Server, SOA web services, Oracle, and Unisys Mainframe Transaction Management (DTPRA) application development expertise and mentoring to staff and other contract resources as required.
• Create work breakdown structures to articulate tasks, level of effort and dependencies between tasks and report progress.
• Provide troubleshooting and end‑user support/problem resolution when necessary.
• Produce technical documentation, solution prototypes, conduct demonstrations of work in progress and completed work to business subject matter experts and other technical staff as requested.

• Involved with all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
• Guides large teams and/or has extensive industry experience; considered a top professional in the field.
• At least 84 months of experience writing Java application software for data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, testing and technical documentation.
• At least 84 months of experience integrating Hibernate ORM with Java applications to enable efficient and optimized database interactions, utilizing advanced mapping techniques (XML), HQL/Criteria APIs, and implementing robust DAO layers.
• At least 84 months of experience designing enterprise solutions using Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) 3.x, implementing Stateless and Stateful Session Beans, leveraging container‑managed transaction (CMT) support.
• At least 84 months of experience with server‑side templating engines such as Freemaker, working with PDF rendering libraries and Jasper Reports for enterprise reporting.
• At least 84 months of experience developing Java applications integrating with legacy COBOL based mainframe systems, using Unisys DTPRA connectors.
• At least 84 months of experience designing and developing enterprise solutions using J2EE design patterns, using Sonar Qube for coding standards, and reducing technical debt across the application.
• At least 84 months of experience implementing and maintaining Maven build configurations, managing dependencies, and customizing build life cycles using plugins for efficient Java applications.
• At least 84 months of experience analyzing business processes and workflows, and creating the data file for the Local Processing Center (LPC) to generate documents, coordinating with LPC for troubleshooting.
• At least 60 months of experience integrating with external systems (FPLS, SPLS) for secure data file exchanges, ensuring reliable and compliant data transmission; designed and developed RESTful and SOAP‑based services to consume and expose external data sources.
• At least 84 months of experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests using JUnit, and migrating from legacy JUnit versions to JUnit5, improving test maintainability and execution performance.
