Lead Java​/J2EE Developer; JSP​/Eclipse​/MQ

Lead Java / J2EE Developer – Albany, NY

Trigyn’s direct government client has an immediate need for a Lead Java / J2EE Developer. The selected candidate will lead the Tax Modernization effort and support maintenance activities.

• Obtain business requirements to develop automated applications that meet business priorities.
• Provide lead programming duties for tax‑related applications.
• Develop and mentor staff using J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript, and JDBC.
• Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirements, including detailed specification documents.
• Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.
• Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications; conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment.
• Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from development to user test environment.
• Assist team members using distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML, and XQuery; ensure proper training and mentoring.
• Provide support for defects and issue resolution, addressing defects and issues promptly based on priority.
• Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and customers.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with management, users, ITS management, and team members.

• Involved with all facets of the software development process, including research, design, programming, testing, and implementation of computer software.
• Ability to work independently without assistance.
• 36 months experience with J2EE technologies, including JDBC, JSP, and XML.
• 36 months experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDEs such as Eclipse, Net Beans, or Intelli

• 36 months experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
• 24 months experience using J2EE frameworks such as Spring or Struts.
• 12 months experience in messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, or Kafka.
• 12 months experience developing with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 12 months experience with commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS) or open‑source Business Rules Management System.
