Job Title: UI Developer.
Location: 40 North Pearl, Albany, NY (Hybrid).
Duration: 30 Months (with potential for extension).
W2 Hourly Rate: $65-85/hour.

We are seeking a UI Developer (Developer III) who will support our NYS client. This Level III role will design and implement complex, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces for web and/or mobile applications while collaborating with architects, testers, business analysts, UX designers, product managers, and other developers. The developer will focus on reusable UI components, responsive and accessible design, performance, code quality, and full software development lifecycle delivery in compliance with state and federal standards.
Duties- Design and develop high-quality, reusable, and performant UI components and applications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into effective UI design and functionality.
- Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, product managers, architects, testers, and developers to deliver a seamless and consistent user experience across platforms.
- Apply UI/UX best practices, responsive/mobile-first design, SOLID principles, design guidelines, accessibility standards including Section 508/WCAG, and responsive design principles.
- Optimize UI performance and scalability through efficient code, resource management, and relevant tools and techniques.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to established coding standards.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to support a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Stay current with emerging UI development trends, tools, and technologies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, and support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- More than 7 years of experience working on complex projects, including 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer.
- More than 7 years of experience in UI development and patterns, including MVC, with a focus on building complex and scalable applications.
- More than 7 years of experience developing and maintaining web applications utilizing HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript/Type Script, Angular Framework, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Cascading Style Sheets.
- 7+ years of experience in .NET and C# developing and maintaining .NET applications for n-tier web deployment, OR experience in Java/Spring Boot developing and maintaining applications for n-tier web/cloud deployment.
- 7+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) application integration, including development of secure web services and SOAP/RESTful APIs.
- 7+ years of experience with Entity Framework.
- 7+ years of experience with unit testing frameworks; xUnit/NUnit preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with distributed version control systems such as Git.
- 2+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD workflows.
- 2+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- 2+ years of experience working in a federal or state government setting (Health and Human Services, especially in Integrated Eligibility System programs such as PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, Child Support, etc. preferred)
