Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Albany, NY. Weekly pay averages $1700 or more, with overtime and bonus opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits- Solo miles pay: $0.59 per mile (2000–2500 miles per week)
- Van stops pay: $16.37 per stop plus $107.56 per dry‑van unload
- Average 8–10 stops per week
- Rolling stop pay: $28.20
- Safety bonus: $250 quarterly
- Loyalty bonus: $2000 at 6 months and $2000 at 1 year
- Paid training
- Medical, dental & vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO in first year (use it or get paid)
- Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided
- 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility)

- Deliver solo loads from North Dakota to Texas, all states east of Texas, and Canada

- Trucks 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance
- Fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug & alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months within the past 3 years
- or 2 years within the last 5 years
- or 5 years within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
- Load and unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
