Albany, NY| Full-time | Second shift |$80,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience
An established food and beverage organization is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead professional drivers and keep deliveries running safely and on schedule.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys solving daily transportation challenges, coaching employees, and improving route performance. Experienced transportation supervisors and team leads ready for broader responsibility are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate driver schedules, equipment assignments, and daily delivery coverage.
- Resolve route changes, delays, and unexpected pickup or delivery needs.
- Coach drivers on safety, service, and performance expectations.
- Monitor overtime, approve time records, and maintain accurate transportation documentation.
- Partner with dispatch, maintenance, HR, and safety teams to address operational and employee issues.
- Use routing tools and operating reports to improve efficiency and delivery reliability.
- 2+ years of relevant transportation, logistics, or distribution experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory or team lead experience, with the ability to direct and coach professional drivers.
- Solid knowledge of DOT requirements, transportation safety, scheduling, and recordkeeping.
- Familiarity with food distribution practices and applicable safety and quality requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; comfort using routing software and business applications.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English for operational communication and documentation.
- Availability for second shift and flexibility to respond to occasional operational needs outside scheduled hours, including weekends or holidays.
- Preferred: Class A CDL and a current medical card.
