The Mailing and Warehouse Associate, Mailing & Receiving Services will be responsible for all loading dock operations and the completion of the necessary activities related to the processing of incoming and outgoing mail for the entire organization. This includes loading and unloading trucks, preparing outgoing materials and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The candidate will also serve as a backup to all mailroom services.
The role ensures compliance with CDPHP's departmental objectives, state & federally mandated processing timelines, and federal postal regulations.
- Accurate & timely processing of company-wide correspondence to support departmental objectives including state and federally mandated handling guidelines.
- Compliance with postal regulations.
- Retrieval of mail from the post office daily at designated times to support timely handling.
- Maintenance of delivery van vehicle cleanliness and reporting of mechanical issues to the manager.
- Provision of messenger service as required.
- Receipt and processing of all incoming materials, supplies, etc., and distribution to the appropriate recipient in a timely manner.
- Assistance in the preparation of reports and correspondence to both internal and external customers within the department, including warehouse inventory, destruction order requests, job processing requests, etc.
- Processing outgoing materials and supplies as required.
- Supervision of loading dock operations.
- Facilitation of receiving and unloading of goods in the warehouse, including unloading trucks to checking pallets and attaching identifying tags to label containers.
- Verification of inventory by comparing computations to physical counts of stock and investigation of any discrepancies.
- Preparation and packing of all outgoing materials and equipment.
- Cleaning and maintenance of supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to comply with safety regulations.
- Back‑up support to mailroom as needed: opening, scanning, and distributing incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments via tracking software.
- Compliance with CDPHP's Corporate Compliance Policy and reporting of any suspected violations to the appropriate authorities.
- Performance of all mailroom functions.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- High level technical competence/knowledge of PC and Windows required; in-depth knowledge of Excel preferred.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Pitney Bowes software and equipment.
- Valid New York State driver's license, current registration, and adequate automobile insurance required.
- Demonstrated ability to lift 70 or more pounds required.
- Knowledge of the Capital District area preferred.
Minimum: $20/hr
- Maximum: $26.90/hr
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors such as budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
