Job Overview

Department/Unit: CSS - AMCH Supply Chain Management

Work Shift:

Night (United States of America)
Salary Range: $41,923.00 - $54,500.00
Locations: 43 New Scotland Ave Albany NY; CSC 1275 Broadway Menands NY; SCC 25 Hackett Blvd Albany NY (rotation possible).

Responsibilities
  • Perform inventory supply counting using mobile computer technology; organize and count supplies by unit of measure; enter data into the mobile device; return and secure the device after use.
  • Process inventory orders: build pick tickets and packing slips via keyboard commands, print them, acknowledge and bill orders to customer cost centers, and troubleshoot printers (refill paper).
  • Fulfill inventory orders: retrieve items from storage using pick tickets, operate manual/powered/computerized equipment, stage supplies for shipment from FB‑dock or Warehouse, attach packing slips, and repeat for subsequent orders.
  • Deliver materials: provide final delivery of processed items through campus Distribution, merge with FB‑dock and Warehouse orders, operate equipment as needed, obtain signatures from customers on Purchase Orders, complete paperwork, and return documentation to Distribution.
  • Deliver radioactive packages to the Hot Lab in accordance with AMC Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policy.
  • Restock linen storage: assist the laundry vendor with unloading trucks, push cleaned linen to the Linen Room, rotate stock, break down mixed bins, and maintain an organized linen room.
  • Conduct Track Pad deliveries: use mobile computer technology to capture customer signatures and building/room numbers, report mismatches to management.
  • Restock inventory site storage: physically restock shelves in Lawson Inventory Sites (Distribution, Linen, Warehouse), empty cases, recycle boxes, and keep storage areas clean.
  • Manage mail room activities: sort inbound USPS and internal mail, run internal deliveries by building, and follow USPS outbound mail procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • 4–6years of experience in a supply‑chain, shipping, or receiving service position.
  • Basic competency with Microsoft Windows.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build win‑win relationships with Center Staff at all levels.
  • Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement conversions.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Curiosity to learn and understand relationships.
  • Knowledge of materials‑management software tools.
  • Sound judgment in job duties and interactions with others.
  • Ability to accept and follow direction, work cooperatively, and avoid conflict.
  • Self‑organization to meet established deadlines for timely supply delivery.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may substitute for requirements.
Physical Demands
  • Constant walking, staying upright, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, using eye/hand/foot coordination, repetitive motions, and constant eye‑hand‑foot coordination.
  • Occasional lifting, sitting, speaking, hearing, and occasional need to raise or lower body.
  • Work conditions include extreme cold or heat, humidity, wet areas, noise, hazards, temperature changes, vibration, and variable atmospheric conditions.
