Position

Description:

Pay Rate: $19.50/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in administrative tasks, including handling and preparation of paperwork.
  • May assist in the daily closing of the warehouse.
  • Verify all incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in terms of amount, size, and type.
  • Inform management of inventory and supply shortages and assist in periodic inventory counts.
  • Compile and submit regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over or under shipments, and returns to vendors; segregate defective product from normal inventory flow.
  • Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading.
  • Designate and organize warehouse stock by product line and physical alignment, allowing sufficient space for overflow.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; handle tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 50 pounds.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) in a safe manner and maintain an operator license, if required.
  • Perform periodic facilities maintenance and custodial tasks, such as cleaning the parking lot, loading dock, surrounding area, keeping floors clear of debris, maintaining bathrooms, and assisting in daily closing down of the warehouse.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED requirement.
  • 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
  • Skills:

    Policy & Procedures, Storage, Verbal Communication.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Occasional lifting of products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; handling tires greater than approximately 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment may expose employee to weather conditions; noise level usually moderate.
  • Travel required approximately 5% of the time.
