Estate Tax Senior Director
A successful, profitable regional CPA firm in Albany, OR is in search of a skilled Estate Tax Senior Director with expertise in Estate and Trust Tax to join their expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a public accounting professional who enjoys working on intricate fiduciary tax projects while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Duties- Prepare and assess federal and state tax returns, focusing on:
- Estates
- Trusts
- Fiduciary entities
- High-net-worth individuals
- Aid in tax planning strategies for estate, trust, and individual clients.
- Conduct detailed tax research and tackle complex tax problems.
- Create responses to tax notices and assist with government tax audits.
- Provide exceptional client service, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with managers and partners on complex tax issues and planning opportunities.
- Review work done by junior staff and offer constructive feedback.
- Guide and train staff accountants, supporting their professional growth.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations affecting estate, trust, and fiduciary taxes.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
Master’s in Taxation or related field is a plus. - 2–5 years of progressive public accounting tax experience required.
- Previous experience in preparing estate and trust (fiduciary) tax returns needed.
- Experience with high-net-worth individual tax returns is advantageous.
- CPA license preferred (or working towards CPA certification is beneficial).
- Prior experience in reviewing staff work or mentoring junior accountants is a plus.
- Strong skills in technical tax research and analysis.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
