Job Summary:
This posting is for a Federal Work Study position. To be eligible for Work Study positions you must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) credits at LBCC , maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better (some positions may require a higher GPA ), and have financial aid in place.
This position performs a variety of administrative office duties.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC , maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better, and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn-Benton Community College.
- Good communication/customer service skills, computer/keyboarding skills, work within a busy, fast-paced office setting.
- Interact sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Must be able to communicate with faculty, staff and students, work well independently and with others.
- Ability to interact sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Spanish speaker preferred.
Physical Requirements and
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift and bend to work with student files.
Work is performed indoors with no exposure to safety and health hazards. Considerable time may be spent working at a computer.
Assists with working at the Financial Aid Office counter to assist students, parents, faculty/staff with financial aid, scanning documents for electronic storage, answering email inquiries, answering phones, returning phone calls, and other duties as assigned.
