Job Summary:
Position is a pooled, part‑time faculty role in Computer Aided Drafting & Design. Applicants are retained in an ongoing eligibility pool until a specific opening becomes available. When a position opens, the college reviews the pool and interviews candidates whose qualifications best match the opening.
- Teach CADD courses that meet the learning needs of students
- Develop curriculum, identify and assess student‑learning outcomes
- Deliver course content via face‑to‑face, remote instruction, or hybrid format
- Perform other professional duties as needed
Position involves use of computer and traditional design/illustration tools, requiring forearm, hand, and finger dexterity, good hand‑eye coordination, and good near visual acuity. Must be able to sit at the computer or drafting table for long periods. Color graphics production requires good color vision. Work is performed in a normal office setting; more than 50% of time on a computer.
Education and ExperienceAssociates degree in Computer Aided Design Drafting or a closely related field, or 4+ years full‑time experience as a draftsman. Experience in Mechanical, Architectural, or Civil drafting required. Experience delivering course content remotely is preferred.
Employment RequirementsCriminal background check - C4. Must have Oregon residency at time of hire and complete Form I‑9. Employment is contingent on successful completion of post‑offer criminal background check. No visa sponsorship is offered.
Salary and Compensation InformationCourses are paid on a per‑credit basis. New part‑time faculty begin at Step 1 of the pay scale, with steps rolled once per term if eligible. Compensation for meetings, training, advising, curriculum development, and other related work follows the established compensation schedule.
