Job Summary
This posting is for a pooled position for possible part‑time teaching positions throughout the year in the Health and Human Performance Program. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to maintain a continuous pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when a position becomes available.
Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain active status. The pool provides teaching and learning support in core Physical Education classes that may include weight training, basketball, dance, yoga, soccer, golf, cardio kickboxing, karate, ultimate frisbee, and Physical Education lecture classes.
Responsibilities- Promote excellence in instruction through innovative instructional methods.
- Identify and meet student learning needs, promoting student learning and skill attainment within outcomes‑based learning principles.
- Deliver instruction, assess learning, grade papers on time, and submit grades promptly.
- Monitor students for effective and safe execution of exercise movements, ensuring a safe classroom environment.
- Act as an educator within the philosophy and mission of the college.
- Advise Health and Human Performance students and facilitate their learning when appropriate.
- Perform assigned teaching and advising roles to promote the program and student retention.
- Communicate and collaborate within the Health and Human Performance Department.
- Engage in planned professional development to maintain current knowledge and practice.
- Assist in departmental learning activities as assigned.
- Ability to work with staff and students.
- Work performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards.

Courses are paid on a per‑credit basis. New part‑time faculty begin at Step 1 of the pay scale, with steps rolled once per term if eligible.

All new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit. Employment is contingent on Oregon residency at the time work commences. Employment is subject to completion of a post‑offer criminal background check. The institution does not offer visa sponsorship.
