POOL PT Faculty, Public Health

Job Summary

Part‑time instructor positions for the Health and Human Performance Department. Candidates will teach assigned health courses, develop materials, assess student learning, and support student success.

• Teach assigned health courses.
• Prepare and develop course materials based on approved outcomes.
• Assign, grade, and report student work and course outcomes.
• Maintain out‑of‑class contact opportunities with students and promote student learning.
• Use educational technology and innovative teaching techniques to support continuous professional improvement.
• Work effectively across cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of a team.
• Participate in department and advisory meetings as assigned.

• Master’s degree in Health, Community Health, Public Health, or bachelor’s degree plus 27 graduate quarter hours in the field and active pursuit of a master’s degree or doctorate; or, if teaching a specialty health course, certification and experience in the field (eg. Certified Health Coach, Certified Doula, registered Red Cross instructor).

Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal safety hazards. Requires arm, hand, and finger dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, and speaking ability. Considerable time is spent on a computer.
