Job Summary- Telephone-direct calls and taking messages
- Information resources and referral for staff, students, and community members.
- Some computer word processing, typing and filing.
- May be asked to work remotely if college limits person contact.
- In those situations would be doing student outreach, assisting with social media and data entry.
- Tools of the job may include Multi‑line phone, computer, copy machine, poster maker.
- Must be able to operate a computer and/or other office equipment.
- May occasionally lift light to medium weight items, with or without assistance.
- Work is performed indoors with no exposure to safety and health hazards.
- Considerable time may be spent working at a computer.
- Environment may be loud and hectic at times.
- Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC, maintain satisfactory academic progress each term, maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better, and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn‑Benton Community College.
- Must be people oriented, quick learner and detail oriented.
- Should be able to carry out written/verbal instructions, multi‑task effectively, communicate well and focus amid distractions.
- Willing to learn new things and comfortable communicating with students.
- Must be able to communicate with faculty, staff and students, work well independently and with others.
- Ability to interact sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

- As a condition of employment, all new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit.
- Offers of employment are contingent on the applicant having Oregon residency at the time work commences.
- Employment is subject to completion of a post‑offer criminal background check.
- Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Form I‑9 confirming authorization to work in the United States of America.
