Position Name: Special Education Assistant

Salary Level: $17.61 - $21.69 (25/26 rates)

Location: North Albany Elementary School

Reports to: Building Principal

Shift: 7 hours per day

Work Calendar: 179 days, 9 month Elementary

• Under direct teacher supervision, assist in the development of an instructional program by working with students individually or in small groups.
• Prepare instructional materials, maintain classroom discipline, and conduct planned activities using teacher-designated methods and materials.
• Provide assistance for students with physical, intellectual, learning, or emotional needs as part of a special education support team.
