Position Title: PT Faculty, Child Care Provider (Child Care Provider Training Instructor)

Job SummaryThis posting is for a pooled position. Application submissions for the pool are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. If/when a position becomes available, the College will review applications from this pool, and interview candidates whose qualifications best match the specific opening. Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain their active status in the pool.
The Family Connections child care provider training instructor provides education on topics that assist people employed in the field of childhood care and education to improve outcomes for children, meet state requirements for child care provider licensing and/or enhance professional development.
Essential DutiesPosition requires visual acuity, arm, hand and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Requires speaking and hearing ability sufficient to carry on routine conversations. Work is performed in a classroom or office setting with minimal exposure to health and safety hazards.
Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Child Development, Human Development, Family Studies, Counseling, Education or related field. Experience teaching adults is preferred.

Courses are paid on a per-credit basis. New Part-time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the pay scale, with steps being “rolled” once per term, if eligible.
All new employees are required to be compensated via direct deposit. Offers of employment are contingent on the applicant having Oregon residency at the time work commences. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to the LBCC Administrative Rules and Board Policies. Employment is subject to completion of a post-offer criminal background check. Linn-Benton Community College does not offer visa sponsorship.
Within three days of hire, the new employee will be required to complete the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Form I-9 confirming authorization to work in the United States of America.
