Job Summary
This posting is for a
pooled position. Application submissions for “[ POOL ]” positions are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. If/when a position becomes available, the College will review applications from this pool, and interview candidates whose qualifications best match the specific opening. Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain their active status in the pool.
Requires an Oregon Driver’s License and current CPR /First Aid certification. Traffic safety education that has included defensive driver training such as bus driver, police training, and/or an Oregon Department of Transportation Training certificate.

Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating a motor vehicle, and to enter and exit vehicles frequently. Sufficient arm, hand, and foot dexterity to operate vehicle controls and demonstrate driving techniques. Requires normal hearing and speaking skills to communicate with staff and students in both classroom and in‑vehicle settings. Requires visual acuity to read road signs, monitor traffic conditions, and observe student driving performance.
Job duties require frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of light to medium weight (10–50 pounds), such as training materials, traffic cones, or vehicle equipment. Work is performed indoors in a classroom environment and outdoors in an on‑road driving setting, with potential exposure to varying weather conditions, traffic hazards, and vehicle emissions.

Courses are paid on a per‑credit basis. New Part‑time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the pay scale, with steps being rolled once per term if eligible.
