Position: Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician III

NDT Level III – Millersburg, OR

We are hiring an experienced NDT Level III to join our Quality Department at our Millersburg, OR facility. The role is onsite with relocation assistance available.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare for and successfully pass MIL-STD-2132 UT Examiner and ASNT UT Level III tests.
  • Administer training, examination, and certification programs for NDT Level I and II inspectors, and Level III inspectors at facilities in Oregon and Alabama.
  • Provide technical support and performance monitoring for daily NDT operations, inspecting mill shapes and final components.
  • Develop, qualify, and approve test method procedures and techniques for NDT.
  • Ensure compliance of testing activities with customer, industry, and government specifications and standards.
  • Document NDT processes and continuously improve those processes and associated testing systems.
  • Perform internal and external auditing requirements.
  • Support calibration and maintenance of NDT instrumentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree.
  • At least four years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a UT Level II and/or meet ASNT's minimum requirements for Level III qualification.
  • Ability to obtain a MIL-STD-2132 UT Examiner Certification.
Preferred Certifications and Licensing
  • Experience and certification in Penetrant (PT) and Radiography (RT).
Skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication, including technical reports and presentations.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement in all areas of the business.
  • Ability to apply analytical thinking to address complex problems based on product and process data.
  • Occasional domestic travel.

Your salary range will be $92,000 to $120,000 annually, plus variable additional compensation opportunities.
