Position: Product Engineer (Albany, OR)

Product Engineer - Aerospace Components

We are a world‑class supplier of titanium castings and components for the aerospace industry located in Albany, OR. Primary Purpose

The Product Engineer provides technical support to the Operations team throughout manufacturing, ensuring process adherence, developing new processes, qualifying outside vendors, and working closely with Sales, Planning, and Quality to address customer questions and product changes. The role allows you to build technical knowledge and advance responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the Operations team and Production Supervisors throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Take ownership of specific product lines, ensuring productivity goals are achieved by meeting yield and efficiency expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity following process change procedures.
  • Work directly with outside vendors on process development while monitoring and improving their quality and throughput.
  • Lead cross‑functional investigations, take corrective action, and determine effectiveness of actions for technical problems.
  • Support Sales, Planning, and Quality personnel in interacting with customers regarding technical characteristics of products and processes.
  • Review purchase orders, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product and process compliance with customer requirements.
  • Create submittals of first articles, concessions, production permits, cut‑up plans, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Previous experience with Solid Works, ProCAST, Magma, Magmasoft, or other solidification software is preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization, including directly with customers.
  • Excellent decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.

    Ability to communicate effectively among coworkers, supervisors, and management.
Work Conditions
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, but may be higher in manufacturing areas. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery, and vehicles when in the manufacturing areas.
