Salary Range: $64,819 – $87,697 (annual) for a 248‑day schedule
Job SummaryAdministers and analyzes all aspects of financial aid technical processes. Works closely with key service areas to administer and analyze the functionality and operational efficiency of digital financial aid resources across the college. Reviews, tests, and assists with documentation and training related to the Banner student information system. Manages financial aid data and reporting, and serves as the primary resource for generating research and statistics needed for financial aid and veterans assessment projects.
EssentialDuties Banner System Administration & Configuration (25%)
Supports the maximized utilization of the Banner system for financial aid, veterans’ services, and related student services. Reviews documentation to recommend new features and process enhancements, resolves functionality issues, researches defects and requests for product enhancement, and collaborates with Information Services for upgrade testing. Sets up new year processes in Banner for processing federal, state, and institutional funds totaling up to $20 million and establishes tracking, packaging, awarding, and disbursement rules.
TechnicalSupport, Troubleshooting & Process Documentation (25%)
Provides technical guidance and support for financial aid and veterans operations, serves as subject matter expert, troubleshoots issues, develops data extracts and reports, and offers insights to improve system efficiency. Delivers training, develops comprehensive technical documentation, and collaborates with staff to optimize business processes, data entry practices, and workflow efficiencies.
Reporting, Data Analytics & Decision Support (25%)Coordinates with Information Services to develop ad‑hoc and scheduled reporting for compliance and operational support. Designs, develops, and maintains data reports, collaborates with Institutional Research, and translates financial aid data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Regulatory Compliance & System Alignment (10%)Monitors federal and state regulations, implements updates in departmental policies, updates system configurations to maintain compliance, and validates annual audit reports.
Technology Innovation, Integration & Institutional Collaboration (10%)Researches, evaluates, and recommends new technologies and third‑party services. Collaborates with Information Services on system functionality and integrations, and partners with staff to design and maintain in‑house web‑based tools.

Physical RequirementsWork is performed primarily in an office setting with minimal exposure to health hazards. Requires frequent interruptions and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Occasional skill upgrades due to technology changes. Extensive computer use; may lift light objects (< 50 pounds) occasionally.
Education and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Additional related experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year‑for‑year basis.
Experience: Two years of full‑time equivalent experience in financial aid (Title IV programs), accounting, or auditing, including work with federal programs and reporting requirements. Experience in governmental accounting, complex financial projects, audits, and support of computerized general ledger systems is required.

Knowledge of desktop and cloud applications, regulatory and documentation analysis, college‑level writing, and communication. Ability to train end‑users, analyze problems, develop solutions, and translate technical information for non‑technical staff. Familiarity with integrated database systems.
