Summary
This position is part of the Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office, Department of Energy within the Infrastructure Operations and Engineering Office. As a Supervisory IT Specialist, you will manage the NETL IT operations and Federal IT and activities.

As a Supervisory IT Specialist, you will:
- Provide leadership and consulting to NETL organizations in the strategic use of information technology to support the agency's plans and goals.
- Oversee the activities of contractors that provide a variety of technical support.
- Ensure the Laboratory's IT infrastructure is in compliance with Departmental and Executive branch requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintais NETL infrastructure systems and operations with an emphasis on the intersection of technology and the end user's requirements. Implements customer-oriented initiatives to satisfy business objectives.
- Perform a full range of supervisory and management functions including administrative and technical responsibilities.
- Promote positive organizational and safety cultures and a safety conscious work environment.
- You must be a United States Citizen.

- You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually (5
CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). - New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- New supervisors are required to complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Agreement.
You must meet both the Basic Requirement and the Specialized Experience to qualify for this series as described below.

GS-15 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service.
