The Audio Transcription Specialist – Hindi (India) is a remote, contract role focused on accurately transcribing Hindi audio recordings into written text. Daily tasks include listening to audio files, transcribing spoken content in Hindi, and ensuring proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The specialist will annotate and label audio segments as needed, follow project guidelines, and meet quality and turnaround time requirements.

The role may also involve verifying and reviewing other transcriptions for consistency, formatting, and accuracy, and collaborating with project managers or linguists to resolve issues and improve transcription quality.

• Strong proficiency in Hindi (native or near-native) and solid understanding of regional accents and dialects.
• Excellent listening skills and attention to detail for accurate audio transcription.
• Strong writing skills in Hindi, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines and maintain consistent formatting and quality standards.
• Comfort with using transcription tools, audio players, and basic productivity software.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace suitable for focused audio review.
• Prior experience in transcription, linguistic annotation, or localization is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI, speech technologies, or language data work is beneficial but not required.
