POSITION SUMMARY

Overall objective is to ensure customers are treated with urgency while maintaining Holt Ag Solution management objectives.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate daily shop operations and assigns work according to skill level.
  • Communicates the status of all work in progress with shop supervisor.
  • Control operation costs including chargeable time, policy, rework and other shop expenses.
  • Assign and monitor work of shop trainees for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support as required.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and work crew.
  • Perform final quality inspection.
  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction by maintaining accuracy and efficiency of all shop work, as well as identifying needed repairs prior to a machine leaving the shop.
  • Monitor work in progress to meet labor hour and parts estimates.
  • Must be willing to troubleshoot and assist with technical problems.
  • Keep daily workload and shop scheduling system current.
  • Communicate with shop supervisor to relay information necessary to develop accurate and competitive repair quotes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises employees in the Service Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write service reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must have a valid driver license and a clear DMV driving record.
