Production Supervisor - Fabrication, Swing Shift

ATI is hiring a Production Supervisor in the Fabrication Department at our manufacturing plant in Millersburg, Oregon. This swing shift position typically works 3 PM to 11 PM.

The Production Supervisor is a thought leader, facilitator, and instrumental in ensuring optimal throughput and production efficiencies by developing effective processes and equipment utilization strategies that meet production goals and objectives. The role leads processes and strategies to achieve conformance and produce quality product that meets customer and company goals.

The Production Supervisor will lead a team of 20 direct reports with diverse personalities, acting as a bridge between the day shift and graveyard shift. The role is responsible for training, coaching, motivating, and leading the production workforce to ensure safe and efficient operation of the production areas.

Success requires quickly learning ATI, the Fabrication Department, processes, products, and customers, and working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including a unionized workforce, engineering, quality, and safety. Skills include attention to detail, strong problem‑solving, continuous improvement mindset, decisive action, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Interpret and enforce policies while maintaining labor agreement provisions.
• Apply the Task Standardization Process to assigned areas and to unplanned incidents to prevent recurrence.
• Write new and revise existing documents to reflect current work practices.
• Establish production management systems to sustain production goals with minimal intervention.
• Coordinate and monitor training to ensure tasks are completed per standard work and instructions.
• Ensure strict adherence to both internal and external customer requirements and production schedules.

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field.
• Preferred:
  Supervisory experience in a union environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts.

Salary Range: $65,000 to $83,000 annually plus other compensation.
