CMM Operator - Titanium Aerospace Parts Production - Swing Shift

PrimaryPurpose
A CMM Operator will inspect machined and un-machined castings, wax patterns, and fixtures using manual and automated CMM devices.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Inspect machined and un-machined castings, wax patterns, and fixtures using manual CMM and automated CMM.
- Use of hand-held MTE, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
- Complete detailed inspection reports and review/interrogate dimensional data generated by the CMM inspection.
- Communicate closely with engineering.
- Self‑motivated individual with good math skills.
- Able to perform inspections on raw and machined castings and first articles.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret customer specifications.
- Able to use Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio; CAD experience helpful.
- Able to read and follow verbal and written instructions, with excellent communication skills.
- Capable of performing precise setups on machine.
- Positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required; candidates without this requirement but with relevant experience will be considered.
- Solid job history of at least one year at the previous or recent employer.
- Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment background check.
- Two recent years of dimensional experience working on aerospace castings and on-the-job experience as a layout inspector, including use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Experience operating manual CMM, automated CMM, or CNC machining center.
- Experience with Open Dmis and Calypso.
- Experience with CMM and CNC programming.
- CAD experience.
- Frequently working near moving mechanical parts.
Swing Shift (Monday‑Thursday, 4 x 10-hour days) – $1.00/hour shift differential.
Weekend Day Shifts (Friday‑Sunday, 3 x 12) – $1.25/hour shift differential.
Weekend Night Shifts (Friday‑Sunday, 3 x 12) – $2.50/hour shift differential.
