Heat Treat Operator – Swing Shift (3:45 pm–2:15 am)
We are seeking a Heat Treat Operator to set up and run multiple heat treat furnaces, sort and serialize castings for various heat treatments, and place castings on fixtures.
Primary PurposeA Heat Treat operator sets up and runs multiple heat treat furnaces; sorts and serializes the different castings for various heat treats, and sets up the castings on fixtures.
Duties and Responsibilities- Sets up and runs multiple heat treat furnaces.
- Sorts and serializes different castings for various heat treatments.
- Maintains accurate heat treat logs for all castings and test materials.
- Follows written and verbal instructions and communicates effectively with employees from other departments to expedite castings into heat treat.
- Works in a responsible, safe, and professional manner.
- Basic math ability, including addition.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills with ability to retrieve, organize, and save files and emails.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing and production; aerospace castings preferred.
- Good communication skills at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to interact effectively with co‑workers and supervisors in a positive manner.
- Solid job history, including more than 1 year at a previous or recent employer.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment background check.
- Willingness to participate in pre‑employment and periodic drug screening.
- Must take a baseline hearing test prior to starting.
- The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.
- Swing Shift (3:45 pm–2:15 am) – $1.00 /hr shift differential
