CMM Operator - Titanium Aerospace Manufacturing (Albany, OR)

Position: CMM Operator – Swing Shift and Weekend Nights.

Primary Purpose
:
Inspect machined and un‑machined castings, wax patterns, and fixtures using manual and automated Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
:

• Inspect machined and un‑machined castings, wax patterns, and fixtures using Manual CMM and Automated CMM.
• Use hand‑held measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.).
• Complete detailed inspection reports and review/interrogate dimensional data generated by the CMM.
• Communicate closely with engineering.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
:

• Self‑motivated with good math skills.
• Ability to perform inspections on raw and machined castings and first articles.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret customer specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio); CAD experience helpful.
• Able to read and follow verbal and written instructions, with excellent communication skills.
• Capable of performing precise setups on machine.
• Positive attitude and attention to detail.
• Physical strength to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED required; candidates lacking the diploma but with relevant experience may be considered.
• Solid job history, including more than 1 year at a previous or recent employer.
• Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment background check.

Preferred
:

• 2+ years of dimensional experience on aerospace castings, including use of calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Experience operating manual CMM, automated CMM, or CNC machining center.
• Experience with Open Dmis and Calypso.
• CMM and CNC programming.
• CAD experience.

Working Conditions
:

• Works near moving mechanical parts.
• Exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, and chemicals; conditions generally not disagreeable.

Schedule
:

• Monday‑Thursday 3:45 pm – 2:15 am (Shift differential $1.25/hr).
• Friday‑Sunday 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (Shift differential $2.50/hr).
